Some coffees are for every day. El Tambo is for every day when you want a little more. It's a single origin Colombian coffee grown by Sandra Vallejo on her farm bordering Tatamá National Park in Santuario, Risaralda, and an 85 point specialty coffee with raspberry, cocoa, brown sugar and lime notes. Bright, sweet and easy to drink, it's freshly roasted before it reaches you and comes whole bean or ground.

Raspberry and a lift of lime sit over rich cocoa and warm brown sugar, with a long, sweet finish. It shines in a V60 or pour-over, but it's just as happy in a cafetière, a bean to cup machine or an espresso.

FAQ

Who is Sandra Vallejo?

The producer behind El Tambo. She runs a five hectare farm bordering Tatamá National Park and is part of a strict 40 member association that only accepts coffees scoring 84 or above. El Tambo scores 85.

Is El Tambo stronger than Madrigal?

Not stronger, just different. Madrigal is round, chocolatey and familiar. El Tambo is brighter, fruitier and sweeter. Both work black or with milk, so choose by the flavour you enjoy.

Do I need a V60?

No. El Tambo works across most brewing methods, including filter, AeroPress and espresso. A V60 or other pour over simply shows off its raspberry, lime and bright acidity best. If you're new to pour over, expect a little trial and error with grind size and pouring at first.

Can I cold brew this?

Yes. Cold brew is one of the methods El Tambo is recommended for.

Can I get this ground, or only whole bean?

Both. Whole bean stays fresher for longer, but properly ground fresh coffee is still excellent. Choose whichever suits your setup.

How fresh is this, really?

Freshly roasted before it reaches you, with the roast date printed on a card in every bag.
